JAKARTA — The Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) said that the Tunjangan Profesi Guru (TPG) for madrasa teachers will be disbursed in phases starting this week. Director General of Islamic Education Amien Suyitno said that the disbursement process is aligned with the accelerated issuance of the Surat Keputusan Analisis Kelayakan Penerima Tunjangan (SKAKPT) for teachers who have met administrative requirements. ‘For those whose SKAKPT has been issued, the disbursement process is already underway in phases this week,’ Suyitno said in a press briefing on Friday (6 March 2026). Suyitno said that, in line with instructions from Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar, SKAKPT issuance would continue so that the rights of madrasa teachers can be disbursed in accordance with the regulations. The figure includes 32,081 teachers who passed the 2025 Guru Professional Education (PPG). Meanwhile, about 158,989 other teachers are still undergoing administrative finalisation for SKAKPT in the next stage. ‘The schedule for the continuation of SKAKPT issuance in phase three on 7 March and phase four on 9 March 2026,’ Suyitno said. Thus, it is hoped that the SKAKPT issuance process can be completed promptly so that the disbursement of TPG for madrasa teachers can be accelerated. The circular states that the teacher professional allowance for January and February 2026 cannot be paid until the budget is available. TPG cannot yet be disbursed specifically for teachers and madrasa principals who graduated from the 2025 PPG. ‘Based on the circular from the Secretary General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs No. 85/SJ/KU.00.2/01/2026 dated 27 January on the payment of teacher professional allowances for teachers/instructors who have been certified in 2025, the payment of teacher professional allowances for teachers and madrasa principals who graduated from the 2025 PPG (even if they have obtained an NRG) cannot be paid for the time being until the budget is allocated,’ reads the third point of that circular.
