Ministry of Public Works Raided by Jakarta Prosecutor's Office, Minister Dody Breaks Silence

Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo has spoken out regarding the search at the Ministry of Public Works office by investigators from the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office. Dody was unaware of the case related to the search. “Friends from the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office came, asked for permission to conduct further investigation by entering several rooms. So, I just gave permission,” Dody said in Jakarta, quoted by Antara on Thursday (9/4/2026). He stated that the prosecutorial officers had task letters and warrants when they arrived at the ministry’s office. Dody had not yet learned more about the case being investigated by the prosecutors. “They didn’t say anything about the issue. They just wanted to conduct further investigation, that’s it. I don’t know (any more),” he revealed. He also conveyed that his side had given permission and leeway to the prosecutorial team to conduct the investigation within the ministry’s premises, including his workspace. “I gave permission, I even said for my room, please go ahead. And I have informed my security chief that if they (the officers) want to enter my room, please go ahead,” Dody said.
