Ministry of Public Works Office Raided for 6 Hours, Minister's Room Reportedly Targeted

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — The approximately six-hour search conducted by the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) at the Ministry of Public Works (PU) office on Thursday (9/4/2026) is reported to have also targeted the offices of PU Minister Dody Hanggodo and Deputy Minister Diana Kusumastuti. However, as of the evening, Kejati has not provided firm confirmation regarding the report. Kejati DKI Jakarta previously confirmed that the search was related to alleged criminal acts of corruption. Based on information gathered by Kompas.com, the ministers’ and deputy minister’s offices are located in the Main Building of the Ministry of PU Complex, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. Their presence immediately drew the attention of journalists who had been waiting since the search began around 2:30 PM WIB. Several journalists then asked about the results of the search. The three investigators did not provide statements and continued walking. When asked again, one investigator briefly replied that they were going to perform prayers. “Going to pray, pray,” said the investigator. The three investigators then turned towards the Heritage Building in the Ministry of PU Complex. Kompas.com confirmed the report of the search of Minister Dody’s and Deputy Minister Diana’s offices with the Head of the Legal Information Section of Kejati DKI Jakarta, Dapot Dariarma. However, Dapot only provided the official Kejati press release. In the press release, it was stated that the search was conducted in several rooms of the Directorate General of Water Resources (SDA) and the Directorate General of Human Settlements. The search was related to alleged criminal acts of corruption in several activities in the 2023–2024 fiscal year. From the activity, the investigators secured several documents and electronic devices.
