Ministry of Public Works Facilitates Defence Region Field Study for Seskoad Officers
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) is strengthening synergy between infrastructure development and national defence aspects by facilitating a field survey activity or Defence Region Field Study (KKL Wilhan) for 20 Regular Education Officer Students (Pasis Dikreg) LXVII from the Army Staff and Command School (Seskoad). Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Works, Wida Nurfaida, stated that infrastructure development not only serves to improve connectivity and public services but also plays an important role in supporting regional stability and resilience. “This field survey activity or KKL Wilhan is expected to provide comprehensive understanding of policies, strategies, and implementation of infrastructure development, particularly in the water resources and roads sectors in disaster-prone areas,” said Wida in her statement in Jakarta on Friday. This activity is part of efforts to enhance the strategic understanding of officers regarding the role of infrastructure in supporting national resilience, including in handling disaster-affected areas and maintaining connectivity in emergency conditions. Through this activity, the officer students gain direct understanding of the role of infrastructure in supporting preparedness and response to disasters, which is an important part of the national resilience system. Secretary General Wida hopes that this activity can strengthen collaboration between the Ministry of Public Works and the Indonesian National Army (TNI AD) in supporting national development.
