Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) is prepared to distribute the Indonesia Pintar Program (PIP) educational assistance for PAUD students for the 2026/2027 academic year, with disbursements scheduled from October to November 2026 to support the 13-year compulsory education programme.

The Director General of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Non-Formal and Informal Education at Kemendikdasmen, Gogot Suharwoto, stated that the distribution process for PIP PAUD will take place during the odd semester of the 202<0xC2>6/2027 academic year, utilising the Dapodik data cut-off as of 31 August 2026.

Regarding the proposal process, he noted that educational units and district/city education offices can submit proposals every September.

Gogot further explained that the distribution mechanism for PIP PAUD is identical to the PIP mechanism used for other school levels. Consequently, the proposal of recipients begins with the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN) for impoverished groups, followed by proposals submitted by schools.

Every PAUD student deemed eligible to receive PIP will receive educational assistance funds amounting to Rp450,000 per year, which will be disbursed in a single payment into the bank accounts registered within the Dapodik system.

As information, the strengthening of the legal norms for 13-year compulsory education, starting from the PAUD level, has been included in the draft revision of the National Education System Law (UU Sisdiknas). This serves as a strategic step to strengthen the foundation of national education from an early age. With the inclusion of PAUD in the compulsory education scheme, the state is obligated to provide full support in terms of regulation, financing, and quality assurance of services.
