Ministry of Population and Family Welfare and TP PKK Collaborate to Create Quality Families
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Population and Family Welfare (Kemendukbangga)/BKKBN is collaborating with the Family Welfare Mobilisation and Empowerment Team (TP PKK) to create quality families that are ready to compete globally.
At the Prasara (promotion) and Vistara (socialisation) event at the Kemendukbangga/BKKBN office in Jakarta on Thursday, Wihaji, the Minister of Population and Family Welfare/Head of BKKBN, stated that the TP PKK has a strong presence that reaches all levels of society, making this collaboration a targeted approach to support national priority programs.
“We are requesting that the programs of Kemendukbangga/BKKBN be synergised and collaborated with TP PKK because TP PKK has a strong presence at the grassroots level. Prasara and Vistara are expected to serve as an initial platform for implementing priority programs with the support of TP PKK,” said Wihaji.
The priority programs in question are the Movement of Foster Parents to Prevent Stunting (GENTING), the Child-Friendly Parks (TAMASYA), the Indonesian Exemplary Father Movement (GATI), the Empowered Elderly (SIDAYA), and the AI-SuperApps for Families.
In line with this, Yane Ardian Bima Arya, Expert Staff in the Field of Strengthening Family Food Security at TP PKK, requested that all members of TP PKK integrate and adjust their work programs to align with the various priority programs for family development.
“Strengthen collaboration with partners at the regional level, both with government agencies such as provincial BKKBN representatives and related departments, as well as with other development partners, to optimise resources,” said Yani.
In the future, there will be synergy in the role of TP PKK in family development programs, including the integration of Early Childhood Development (BKB) with Posyandu (integrated health posts) and Early Childhood Education (PAUD) through education, home visits and referral services, as well as the integration of fatherhood education into PKK activities and programs.
In addition, there will be the initiation of the establishment and implementation of Elderly Family Development (BKL) and BKL Elderly Schools in their respective working areas, as well as the integration of the Poktan UPPKA (Family Planning Acceptor Income Improvement Group) and PKK UP2K (Family Income Improvement) programs to empower families economically.
