Ministry of Population and Family Development establishes family service posts along 2026 homecoming routes
Jakarta — The Ministry of Population and Family Development (Kemendukbangga)/BKKBN has established family service posts along the 2026 Eid homecoming routes to support religious, care, and protective functions by maintaining health awareness during travel.
Family service posts at various strategic points along the Eid 2026 homecoming routes are distributed across 31 provinces, functioning as rest stops for travellers whilst providing family consultation services and reproductive health information.
Kemendukbangga/BKKBN Head Wihaji stated in Jakarta on Monday that the establishment of these family service posts represents government support to ensure homecoming journeys are safer, more comfortable, and maintain attention to family health.
“We have prepared several locations for family service posts operated by Kemendukbangga/BKKBN concerning family services. There are also consultations and contraceptive services,” he said.
Wihaji explained that family service posts are positioned at numerous points frequented by travellers during both the outbound and return periods of the Eid holiday, such as terminals, airports, stations, ports, and other strategic routes. Most posts operated by Kemendukbangga/BKKBN are integrated with Posko Ketupat, managed by the Indonesian National Police (Polri).
“The operation of these family service posts also falls under the coordination and guidance of the Polri Traffic Corps so their presence can reach strategic points along homecoming routes used by the public,” he said.
Travellers wishing to use these services need only visit the available family service post locations along the homecoming route. Staff at the posts will help direct people according to their service needs, ranging from family consultation, reproductive health education, to contraceptive service information.
The Kemendukbangga/BKKBN homecoming post services will begin operating on 16 March 2026 from 08:00–15:00. To ensure service availability, the public is urged to regularly monitor information on post operating schedules as operating times at each location may vary.
“The presence of these posts with family services is expected to help travellers maintain family conditions during their journey. A safe homecoming is not merely about reaching the destination, but also ensuring all family members, particularly mothers, infants, and young children, remain healthy and protected during travel,” Wihaji said.
