Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has urged the public to be vigilant against fake portals or websites that impersonate the Kemnaker’s Skillhub service. The Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Manpower, Faried Abdurrahman Nur Yuliono, stated in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday that this needs to be a priority, especially after the registration period for the National Vocational Training Programme opened on Monday (23 February). “We urge the public to be cautious when accessing information related to national vocational training and to ensure that the domain address they are visiting is the official Kemnaker channel,” said Faried. He added that the emergence of fake or unofficial websites has the potential to mislead the public, create opportunities for fraud (phishing), and ultimately lead to the misuse of personal data. Faried affirmed that the official Skillhub website only uses the domain skillhub.kemnaker.go.id. Furthermore, he explained that fake websites that resemble government services can cause public misunderstanding and become a means of fraud. He cited one example of a domain that claims to be Skillhub, namely skillhub.kemnakerri.com, which is not an official Kemnaker website. According to Faried, this vigilance is important because the risks involved do not stop at misinformation. “Fake websites have the potential to become a means of phishing, fraud, or misuse of data that harms the public,” he said. The Ministry of Manpower ensures that all registration processes for the National Vocational Training Programme are carried out centrally through the official website skillhub.kemnaker.go.id and are not available on other platforms or links outside of that government domain. “Registration for the National Vocational Training Programme can only be done through skillhub.kemnaker.go.id. We do not open registration through other channels or websites outside of that official domain,” he said. As a simple safety measure, the Ministry of Manpower advises the public to always check the website address before entering data, ensuring that the domain ends with kemnaker.go.id, and avoiding clicking on links from unclear sources. If they find a suspicious website or link, the public is asked to stop the registration process and report it to the official social media of the Ministry of Manpower or click bantuan.kemnaker.go.id. Skillhub itself is one of the features in the SIAPkerja digital labour service platform, which serves as an integrated gateway to various vocational training programmes in Indonesia. Through this platform, the public can obtain information, register, and participate in vocational training organised by the government or partner training institutions. The system also supports the learning process, monitoring progress, and documenting training results in a transparent and accountable manner.
