Jakarta — The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has collaborated with state-owned enterprises (BUMN), five private companies, and nine trade unions/industrial associations (SP/SB) to organise a free mudik programme for 11,121 workers.

Wakil Menteri Ketenagakerjaan (Wamenaker) Afriansyah Noor, in a statement in Jakarta on Friday, said the program, themed “Mudik Aman Family Happy,” will be launched using 227 buses.

“Mudik for workers and their families is also a form of corporate concern and participation, expected to foster a calm working environment and business continuity, thereby realising a harmonious, dynamic, fair, and transformative industrial relations,” said the Deputy Minister.

The man, known as Ferry, said the aim of the group mudik for workers and their families is to reduce road accident risk, strengthen occupational safety and health culture (K3) values for productivity, and reduce transportation costs for workers to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri.

“Mudik for workers and their families is one form of providing welfare facilities for workers,” added the Deputy Minister.

Meanwhile, Director General for Industrial Relations Development and Social Security for Workers at Kemnaker, Indah Anggoro Putri, said that 10 buses carrying 500 workers with their families, facilitated by SP/SB, heading to East Java, Central Java, and Yogyakarta, will depart simultaneously from Kemnaker’s office on 17 March 2026.

The launches will take place outside the Kemnaker office from 15-18 March 2026.

“Total 38 buses donated by seven companies to transport workers with their families. 10 buses depart from the Kemnaker office and 28 buses depart from outside Kemnaker,” Indah said.
