Ministry of Manpower Reopens Free Occupational Safety and Health Training and Certification
The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has reopened the second batch of the General Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Expert Training and Certification Programme with a quota of 2,100 participants from across Indonesia. Registration will be open from 6 to 12 April 2026.
Manpower Minister Yassierli stated that the opening of this second batch is a concrete step by the government to expand workers’ access to K3 competencies, which are increasingly needed in the workforce.
“Through this programme, the government is providing the widest possible opportunities for workers and the public to become competent K3 Experts, enabling them to contribute to creating safe, healthy, and productive workplaces,” said Yassierli in his statement in Jakarta on Monday.
He continued that the programme is being launched at a time when companies’ needs for K3 Experts continue to increase. Amid the risks of workplace accidents, compliance demands, and the need to maintain productivity, the presence of K3 Experts can no longer be seen as merely supplementary.
Therefore, he added, access to K3 training and certification must be more open and reach more workers.
“We want more and more workers to have K3 competencies. The stronger those competencies, the greater the opportunities to create safe, healthy, and productive workplaces,” Yassierli said.
As with the first batch, this programme is free for training costs. Participants only need to pay a Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) fee of Rp420,000 in accordance with Government Regulation Number 41 of 2023.
This scheme provides greater room for workers to enhance their competencies without being burdened by training costs.
On the other hand, companies also benefit because the need for human resources who understand occupational safety and health continues to grow.
Kemnaker has set several requirements for participants. Prospective participants must be at least D3 graduates and must attach a scan of the original diploma in PDF format, a scan of the ID card in PDF format, a passport photo with a red background in JPG format, a scan of the original Participant Readiness Statement document that has been signed over stamp duty in PDF format, a Curriculum Vitae in PDF format, and a scan of the original Health Certificate in PDF format.
The training and certification implementation is scheduled to take place from 27 April to 13 May 2026. Registration is conducted via the link https://s-link.kemnaker.go.id/AK3UGRATISBATCH2.
