The Regional Office of the Ministry of Law Riau Islands (Kanwil Kemenkum Kepri) has partnered with three strategic media outlets to reinforce its commitment to information transparency and legal information dissemination.

The three media organisations formally entering into collaboration are Perum LKBN Antara Bureau Riau Islands, Batam Pos, and Tribun Batam. The initiative was marked by the signing of a 2026 Media Publication Cooperation Agreement (PKS) by Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law Riau Islands Edison Manik alongside the leadership of each media organisation at Ismail Saleh Hall in Tanjungpinang City on Monday.

“Through this strategic partnership, the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law Riau Islands is confident that it can present legal information that is beneficial, accountable, and positively impactful for all segments of society in Riau Islands Province,” said Edison Manik in his remarks.

Edison stated that the current strengthening of ministerial institutions demands optimal public information transparency.

Media is viewed as an important bridge for building public legal literacy, particularly regarding various strategic services such as General Legal Administration (AHU) services including citizenship, legal entities, fiduciary rights, and Apostille services.

Additionally, intellectual property services encompass trademark registration, copyright, and innovation protection.

Furthermore, legal assistance includes access to justice for low-income communities and legislation comprising harmonisation of regional regulations to align with national rules.

To maintain data accuracy, the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law Riau Islands also emphasised that all publications will be coordinated through the Working Team for Public Relations, Bureaucratic Reform, and Information Technology (IT) as the official information gateway.

“As a form of accountability, partner media will submit publication reports quarterly as material for joint evaluation throughout the one-year cooperation period,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Head of Perum LKBN Antara Bureau Riau Islands Yunianti Jannatun Naim expressed appreciation for the trust given by the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law Riau Islands.

She stressed that media has a moral responsibility to convey accurate and educational information.

“This collaboration is expected to build more intensive communication so that policies and legal services are conveyed appropriately to the public,” she said.
