Ministry of Law Reminds of Mental and Financial Preparedness Ahead of Retirement
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Law (Kemenkum) has reminded of the importance of mental and financial preparedness ahead of retirement, during the 2026 Pre-Retirement Briefing event in Jakarta on Thursday (23/4).
Secretary General of Kemenkum, Nico Afinta, stressed that maintaining faith and mental health is one of the important foundations in navigating the new phase of life.
“Not everyone is mentally prepared to face retirement, so it is important to build a positive social environment, such as hobby communities, alumni groups, or friendships. Of course, by also maintaining faith, such as through prayer and so on,” said Nico at the briefing event, as quoted from a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Monday.
Meanwhile, in terms of physical health and financial health, according to Nico, not all employees understand post-retirement financial management, so the materials prepared in the briefing event are highly relevant.
He invited the prospective retirees to remain enthusiastic and continue contributing to Kemenkum. He affirmed that dedication does not stop when the service period ends.
With the digital transformation in the Kemenkum environment, he said, retirees can still contribute thoughts, experiences, and input through various communication channels such as Instagram, WhatsApp, or the call centre.
“If you still see any shortcomings in services, both in regional offices and central offices, do not hesitate to provide input. The experience possessed is a valuable asset for the institution’s progress,” he stated.
Nico also expressed appreciation and thanks to all employees who will enter retirement for the dedication and service they have provided so far to Kemenkum.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Human Resources Bureau of Kemenkum, Sunu Tedy Maranto, explained that the briefing event is a routine agenda aimed at preparing employees comprehensively ahead of retirement.
“Preparedness covers psychological, financial, and health aspects. All must be prepared from the beginning so that employees can undergo retirement well,” said Sunu.
He also mentioned that the series of briefing activities includes health examinations, motivational sessions, and entrepreneurship briefing to encourage retirees to remain productive.
Through this event, it is hoped that prospective retirees can enter the new phase of life with mature preparedness and remain healthy, happy, and prosperous individuals.
