Ministry of Law finalises audited 2025 financial report on schedule
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Law has finalised its 2025 audited financial report for submission to the Ministry of Finance and Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) by May 8, 2026.
Ministry of Law Secretary-General Nico Afinta stated that the timely submission reflects the government’s commitment to orderly, transparent, and accountable financial management.
“I extend my appreciation to the BPK RI audit team for their thorough and professional work during the 90-day audit period from January 5 to May 17, 2026,” said Nico in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He stressed that the audit is crucial for improving the accuracy, transparency, and accountability of financial management and state assets.
The audit provided constructive feedback to strengthen financial governance within the ministry.
The ministry is therefore committed to continuously enhancing the quality, accountability, transparency, and professionalism of national financial management.
“Therefore, all units are instructed to be proactive, responsive, and accountable in addressing audit recommendations to prevent recurring issues in the future,” he added.
Meanwhile, National Financial Audit Director I.C BPK Ida Irawati said auditors must maintain efficient and effective communication throughout the audit process to ensure smooth operations.
She added that audit findings must be clearly understood and acted upon by responsible parties and relevant stakeholders.
During the 2025 financial report audit, BPK sampled various units within the Ministry of Law, including the General Secretariat, General Directorate of General Legal Administration, General Directorate of Intellectual Property, and General Directorate of Legislation.
Sampling also covered the Legal Human Resource Development Agency, Legal Policy Strategy Agency, National Legal Development Agency, and the Education and Training Centre.
Additionally, audits were conducted at the Ministry of Law’s regional offices in North Maluku, South Sulawesi, and South Kalimantan.
