Ministry of Law Addresses Foundation Data Issues Amid System Migration

The Ministry of Law has addressed a foundation’s problem after hearing about obstacles related to the Directorate General of General Legal Administration (Ditjen AHU) services during an ongoing data transformation.

Director of Business Entities at the Ministry of Law, Andi Taletting Langi, stated this during the ‘Pasti Ada Solusi’ (Surely There Is a Solution) event in Jakarta on Friday (14/8).

“We will immediately provide a copy of the foundation’s documents so that you can use them for your purposes with the National Land Agency (BPN),” said Andi.

He explained that the Ditjen AHU is currently migrating a number of registered foundation data into a new system. Therefore, he said, a foundation’s data might not appear when searched in the system. “There is a possibility that when the data is pulled, the foundation does not appear in the system,” he said.

Previously, Edy Wanda, speaking at the ‘Pasti Ada Solusi’ event, claimed to be the founder of a foundation established in 2011 and registered in the Ditjen AHU system at the Ministry of Law. “Every five years, I have submitted changes or updates from the foundation’s meetings, and we have received replies from Ditjen AHU,” said Edy.

However, he reported a recent problem. “When we purchased a land asset for the foundation, the BPN in Nagan Raya, Aceh, said that our foundation was not registered with Ditjen AHU, thus hindering the purchase of the asset under the foundation’s name,” he said.
