Jakarta (ANTARA) - Labour Minister Yassierli has disclosed that the Holiday Allowance (THR) consultation post has received approximately 2,000 consultation inquiries from workers during the period of 14-17 March 2026.

“We have received nearly 2,000 consultation inquiries, and thanks be to God they have been well-responded to by the team on standby at our THR and BHR posts. They are on standby every day, including Saturdays, Sundays, and even on Eid they will be on standby here,” Yassierli said during a free mudik (homecoming) send-off event at the Ministry of Labour office in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Yassierli revealed that the Ministry of Labour has opened THR consultation posts since 14 days before Eid, accepting inquiries from workers. “Workers ask questions like: my situation is like this, am I entitled to receive THR? I have only been working for a certain period, how much THR will I receive? These are some of the consultation questions,” Yassierli explained.

As the seven-day deadline approaches, he noted that the nature of inquiries has shifted from consultation to complaints, as this period marks the deadline for THR payment to workers. “Now as we enter the seven-day period, the focus is no longer on consultation but on listening to complaints. If there are companies that do not pay THR to their workers, when according to regulations it is mandatory, we have opened complaint service posts, and these will be followed up by labour inspectors,” Yassierli said.

Yassierli assured that the THR post will follow up on complaints from workers, including those from regional areas. “Seven days is the deadline for THR provision, and now our posts are supervised by inspectors who will follow up on complaints. So please submit complaints if you feel you should be receiving THR or not. And these posts are also available in regional areas,” Yassierli stated.

According to monitoring at the THR post at the Ministry of Labour office in Jakarta, a total of 1,655 complaints were recorded during 14-17 March 2026. The breakdown includes 975 complaints about THR not being paid by employers, 378 complaints about THR not conforming to regulations, and 302 complaints about late THR payments.
