Ministry of Labour Facilitates 15 Competency Certification Schemes for Internship Graduates
Jakarta — The Ministry of Labour (Kemnaker) and the National Professional Certification Board (BNSP) are facilitating 15 competency certification schemes for graduates of the National Internship Programme or MagangHub operated by the Ministry.
Minister of Labour Yassierli stated in Jakarta on Tuesday that competency certification plays an important role in enhancing workforce competitiveness.
“Competency certification is an important instrument to ensure MagangHub graduates have recognition of their competencies and are therefore better prepared to compete in the labour market,” said Minister Yassierli.
The National Internship Programme itself is designed to strengthen the quality of human resources whilst providing competency recognition aligned with the needs of the working world and industry.
Yassierli added that the various schemes prepared are based on current industry needs, ranging from office administration, information technology, customer service, finance, human resources, data management, and occupational safety and health (OSH).
The 15 competency certification schemes comprise Office Administration Management, Junior Secretary, Web Developer Assistant, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design Creation, Single Entity Financial Report Preparation, and Human Resources Supervisor.
Further certification schemes include Customer Service, Front Office, Computer Operator, Digital Filing, Audio-Visual Content Production, Data Analyst, Occupational Safety and Health Officer, and Financial Report Preparation for Beginners.
Through these various schemes, the Minister stated that National Internship graduates are expected to possess competencies relevant to industry requirements, ranging from administration and service management, digital technology mastery, financial and human resource management, to data analysis capabilities and occupational safety implementation.
Certification implementation will be conducted by BNSP through a network of professional certification bodies collaborating with Kemnaker’s vocational training centres across various regions.
To support the programme, Kemnaker has mapped the readiness of vocational training centres throughout Indonesia.
Based on the mapping results, BBPVP Makassar, BBPVP Medan, and BPVP Surakarta each offer 15 certification schemes. BBPVP Bekasi offers 11 schemes.
