Ministry of Investment Faces Challenge of Keeping Investment Commitments from Fleeing Abroad

The Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) faces a considerable challenge in ensuring investment commitments do not migrate to other countries. This year’s investment realisation target stands at Rp1,905.6 trillion, of which only 24.4%, or Rp465.2 trillion, had been fulfilled in the first quarter of 2025.
