Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM Welcomes Walovi Investment in Indonesia
The event was held at the Angke Heritage Ballroom, PIK 2, Jakarta, on Thursday (27/8/2026). The presence of Walovi Indonesia marked an important moment for developing distribution networks while strengthening business relations between Indonesia and China.
The event was attended by a number of figures, including the Director of Promotion for East Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and Africa at the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM, Cahyo Purnomo, and the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Guangzhou, Arianto Surojo.
From Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited, key company executives were present, namely Commissioners Li Xiaojun and Fang Dafeng, Director Xu Bin, General Manager Yuan Cheng, Deputy General Manager Zheng Jianxiong, Deputy Director of the Department of External Cooperation and Liaison Chen Cheng, and Office Manager Liang Zhenqing.
In his remarks, Fang Dafeng expressed hope that Walovi would be accepted by the Indonesian public and grow in the domestic market. He said he hoped Walovi’s presence would not only be a launch moment, but also the beginning of the product’s journey to gain a place among Indonesian society.
“We hope this Walovi drink will be liked and grow in the Indonesian market,” said Fang Dafeng in his remarks.
Meanwhile, the Director of Promotion for East Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and Africa at the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM, Cahyo Purnomo, welcomed the investment made by Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited in Indonesia. According to him, the investment is part of increasingly open economic cooperation opportunities between Indonesia and China.
Cahyo was also optimistic that Walovi, known as a herbal and healthy drink, would receive a positive response from the Indonesian public.
“We welcome the investment from Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited and believe Walovi, as a herbal and healthy drink, will be well received by the Indonesian public,” Cahyo said.
The signing of cooperation agreements with PT Sabang Merauke Trading, PT Kapitan Megah Mandiri, PT Kuliner Kreasi Asia and PT Anak Mas Indah marked the initial milestone for Walovi to build a distribution network in Indonesia. The moment also marked the official introduction of Walovi Indonesia to the national market.
With the support of Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited, Walovi is expected to grow and expand its market reach in Indonesia. The presence of senior executives from Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited at the event demonstrated the company’s seriousness in developing cooperation and strengthening Walovi’s presence in the Indonesian market.
Now, after being officially introduced through a soft launch, Walovi Indonesia has entered a new chapter with a mission to introduce herbal drinks to Indonesian consumers while opening broader business cooperation opportunities between Indonesia and China.
