Ministry of Industry: Subang Steel Wire Factory Operational, Strengthening Supply Chain
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister of Industry Faisol Riza stated that the operation of PT Beka Wire Indonesia’s galvanised steel wire factory in Subang, West Java, serves as a strategic step in promoting increased value addition in manufacturing while strengthening the steel sector’s supply chain.
In a statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday, the Deputy Minister emphasised that the presence of this production facility, inaugurated today, not only contributes to national industrial development but also opens new employment opportunities, particularly in the steel sector.
The Deputy Minister conveyed that this investment aligns with the government’s programme to drive downstream processing and enhance domestic industrial value addition.
“Promoting sustainable technology and circular economy in industrial activities. Through this inauguration, BEKA reaffirms its commitment to being a long-term partner for customers and stakeholders,” he said.
Meanwhile, Member of the House of Representatives Commission XI Galih Dimuntur Kartasasmita stated that the selection of Subang as the operational location is part of the company’s strategy to position itself closer to rapidly developing industrial areas.
“This location supports more efficient distribution to domestic and even international customers,” he said.
The presence of this factory becomes an important momentum in strengthening collaboration between the government and industry players, while also affirming a shared commitment to enhancing national manufacturing competitiveness.
