Ministry of Industry: GIICOMVEC Serves as Gateway for Cross-Sector Collaboration
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry, Eko S.A. Cahyanto, stated that the Gaikindo Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle (GIICOMVEC) 2026 exhibition serves as a gateway for establishing cross-sector collaborations to strengthen the national automotive industry. “Through GIICOMVEC 2026, we hope to build increasingly close collaborations between the government, industry players, associations, and all stakeholders,” said Eko S.A. Cahyanto at the opening of the GIICOMVEC 2026 exhibition at JIExpo, Kemayoran, Jakarta, on Wednesday. He continued that the synergies formed across sectors form a crucial foundation for strengthening the industrial structure, increasing efficiency, and developing adaptive and sustainable commercial vehicle technologies. At the same venue, Gaikindo Chairman Putu Juli Ardika welcomed the government’s support in revitalising the automotive industry, which is one of the drivers of economic growth in the country. In line with that, Putu also emphasised the importance of innovation in this sector to maintain the momentum of national growth. He mentioned that the GIICOMVEC 2026 event is designed as a forum to explore the latest commercial vehicle solutions and business opportunities in one place, bringing together domestic industries with professional buyers. Participants include Toyota, Wuling, and Guangzi Auto. In addition, more than 35 supporting industry brands are also participating, showcasing the latest innovations ranging from bodywork technology, spare parts, to digital fleet management systems.
