Ministry of Immigration and Corrections opens 2026 Poltekimipas cadet registration
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Immigration and Corrections (Kemenimipas) has officially opened the selection process for prospective cadets of the Poltekimipas official school for the 2026 fiscal year, with online registration running from 18 to 30 August 2026.
The head of the 2026 Kemenimipas cadet selection committee, Dadan Gunawan, explained that the intake is aimed at the best graduates of senior secondary schools or equivalent, as well as civil servants within Kemenimipas, to pursue education at the Indonesian Immigration and Corrections Polytechnic (Poltekimipas).
“Kemenimipas is opening broad opportunities for Indonesia’s young generation to dedicate themselves through official education in the fields of immigration and corrections,” Dadan said in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.
He emphasised that this is based on a letter from the Minister for State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform regarding approval of student needs for the Indonesian Immigration and Corrections Polytechnic official school for the 2026 fiscal year.
This year, the Immigration and Corrections Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM Imipas) of Kemenimipas has set a quota of 375 places for general and affirmative action applicants, plus an additional 30 places for civil servants within Kemenimipas.
The total student intake is spread across six study programmes: D4 Corrections Engineering, D4 Corrections Management, D4 Community Guidance, D4 Immigration Law, D4 Immigration Administration, and D4 Immigration Technology Management.
He said the selection is carried out in three stages: administrative selection, basic competency selection (SKD), and advanced selection covering health checks and physical observation, physical fitness, psychology, as well as interviews and skills.
“All selection stages use an elimination system,” he said.
The committee also stressed that the entire selection process is conducted transparently and free of charge.
If any parties promise admission for any motive, he said, this constitutes fraud.
He therefore reminded participants, families, and other parties not to give anything in any form prohibited by laws and regulations relating to the selection process.
“If discovered, it will be processed in accordance with applicable law and the admission will be annulled,” Dadan said.
