Ministry of Immigration and Corrections Implements Fuel Saving Pattern
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Immigration and Corrections (Kemenimipas) is applying a fuel-saving pattern to support the government’s policy on energy conservation.
Head of the Data, Information, and Communication Centre of Kemenimipas, M. Akbar Hadi Prabowo, confirmed in Jakarta on Saturday that Minister of Imipas Agus Andrianto will pursue policies aligned with the government’s directives.
“Of course, the Minister will pursue policies in line with the government/president’s policies on energy and fuel savings for civil servants starting April 2026,” said Akbar.
He stated that the saving patterns implemented by Kemenimipas include working from home (WFH).
He explained that WFH at Kemenimipas will be applied for one day per week for office activities, excluding public service offices.
“Except for those directly related to public services,” he said.
The next pattern, he said, involves limiting official travel or ceremonial activities, optimising digital platforms in office administration (e-office), and efficiency in the use of electricity, water, and room cooling in the office.
Akbar emphasised that these steps are taken to reduce the burden on the state budget subsidies and significantly save fuel consumption.
“This policy will continue to be evaluated periodically to see the extent of the efficiency impact on energy consumption,” he stated.
Previously, Kemenimipas had implemented a fuel-saving pattern with working from anywhere (WFA) after the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday, namely from 25 to 27 March 2026.
Currently, Kemenimipas is still awaiting the minister’s instructions for implementing fuel savings on 30 March.
