Ministry of Imipas and Lampung Police Uncover 145 Inmates in Kotabumi Involved in Love Scamming

On the same occasion, Lampung Provincial Police Chief Inspector General Helfi Assegaf stated that the case was revealed on 30 April 2026. Helfi detailed that the hundreds of inmates originated from blocks A, B, and C of the Class II B Kotabumi Detention Center. “The evidence we secured includes 157 mobile phone units, one Indonesian National Police uniform, two savings books, and six ATM cards,” he continued. For the involved inmates, Helfi said their detention has now been moved from the Class II B Kotabumi Detention Center to the Way Hu Bandar Lampung Detention Center.
