Ministry of Home Affairs Responds to Luwu Raya Province Demands: Moratorium Still in Effect

Director General of Regional Autonomy at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Cheka Virgowansyah, has said that demands for the establishment of Luwu Raya Province are still awaiting central government policy.

Speaking in Makassar on Sunday (22/2), the Director General of Regional Autonomy stated that the proposed creation of Luwu Raya cannot be decided upon in the near term, as the process of forming new autonomous regions must follow proper mechanisms, particularly given that the moratorium policy remains in effect.
