Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) together with Garuda TV will hold the “Regional Government Achievement Appreciation 2026” as a form of appreciation for regional governments that demonstrate superior performance, innovation, and a real impact on society.

The President Director of Garuda TV, Fahmi M. Anwari, said that the award is expected to be a momentum to strengthen collaboration and the spirit of innovation between regions.

“Garuda TV is committed to continuing to support appreciation for regional governments that have successfully brought about positive change while also spreading inspiration for development from various regions of Indonesia,” he said in a statement in Jakarta, Sunday.

Regional governments are considered to have a strategic role as the driving force for national development through the implementation of policies that directly touch the lives of people in various regions of Indonesia.

In its implementation, Kemendagri collaborates with Garuda TV as an implementing partner and also a national broadcast media to present inspiration for regional development to the Indonesian people at large.

The award will be given to regional governments that have successfully presented concrete and measurable solutions through effective, innovative and adaptive governance.

The focus of this year’s appreciation is on regional governments in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Maluku, and North Maluku which are considered to have a spirit of innovation and progressive regional development.

The event will be attended by regional heads from the provincial, district and city levels as well as central government officials and national figures.

In addition to the award ceremony, the event will also feature the cultural nuances of the archipelago through collaborations in art and culture from Eastern Indonesia which represent the spirit of harmony, diversity and unity.
