The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) is strengthening synergy with Statistics Indonesia (BPS) in the utilisation and integration of data to support the targeted expansion of access to higher education.

In a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto asserted that accurate and integrated data serves as a crucial foundation for formulating inclusive and impactful higher education policies.

“Expanding access to higher education requires robust data support. Through this collaboration with BPS, we want to ensure that every policy we design is truly based on the needs of the community and conditions on the ground,” he said.

Minister Brian assessed that through stronger collaboration with BPS, various educational assistance programmes are expected to reach target groups more precisely and effectively.

“Strengthening data is expected to support a more accurate verification and validation process in various education financing programmes,” he added.

Meanwhile, BPS Head Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti expressed her commitment to continuously support the data needs of the education sector by providing high-quality, up-to-date statistical data that can be utilised as a basis for public policymaking.
