The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has reported three diseases commonly found among Eid travellers in 2026: hypertension (high blood pressure), cephalgia (headache), and gastritis (indigestion). Head of the Health Crisis Centre at Kemenkes, Agus Jamaludin, explained that after examining 28,696 people, these three conditions were the most prevalent. These findings align with health checks at the Gambir Station Health Post in Central Jakarta, where hypertension was the dominant case among travellers, followed by diabetes and influenza. “Hypertension, gastritis, and cephalgia are the three most common types of diseases today. The peak of health services for travellers occurred on 16 March, with 4,998 travellers,” said Agus on Tuesday (24/3). The trend then decreased to 1,725 people on 22 March, and began to rise again on 23 March with 2,038 travellers. In addition to traveller checks, Kemenkes also examined drivers, revealing that many were unfit due to high blood pressure. “From 4,371 health checks, 252 drivers were unfit. The reasons for unfitness include hypertension in 153 people, random blood sugar (GDS) in 51 people, hypertension and GDS in 18 people, and positive for alcohol or drugs in 30 people,” he revealed. The government has prepared 327 Public Safety Centres (PSC), 36,371 Reserve Health Workers (TCK), and 11 regional health crisis centres across Indonesia. Up to mid-March 2026, 13,046 measles suspects were recorded, with 10,301 confirmed cases and 8 deaths due to measles. Based on Kemenkes data up to week 8 of 2026, there were 10,453 measles suspect cases, with 8,372 confirmed and six deaths.
