Ministry of Hajj: Two Elderly Hajj Candidates from Central Java Treated at Amri Tambunan Hospital
Medan (ANTARA) - The Regional Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) for North Sumatra states that two elderly hajj candidates from Central Java (Jateng) are being treated at Amri Tambunan Hospital in Lubuk Pakam, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra.
“The two hajj candidates are named Cheriyah (80), from Bojong Village in Bojong Subdistrict, Tegal, Central Java,” said the Head of the North Sumatra Kemenhaj Regional Office, Zulkifli Sitorus, in Medan on Friday.
Then, in the name of Muritno (73), who originates from Sutapranan Village, Dukuh Turi Subdistrict, Tegal Regency, Central Java.
“Both hajj candidates were forced to receive treatment after the aircraft they were on made a technical landing to refuel at Kualanamu Airport,” he said.
A total of 360 hajj candidates from Kloter 3 Embarkation Solo were dispatched to the Holy Land via Adi Soemarmo Airport, Central Java, on Wednesday (22/4) at 15:00 WIB.
“This is the government’s concern and responsibility in ensuring the health conditions and comfort of hajj candidates, especially during the journey to the Holy Land,” Zulkifli stated.
He conveyed that this presence is a form of maximum service to hajj candidates, particularly the elderly, so that they remain safe and well-served.
“We are present to ensure that hajj candidates are in good condition and receive proper handling. This is part of our commitment to providing the best service to Allah’s guests,” Zulkifli added.
The Head of the Deli Serdang Regency Kemenhaj Office, Nurlela, said that her side continues to monitor the health conditions of the two elderly hajj candidates from Central Java.
“Alhamdulillah, the two hajj candidates are in stable condition and continue to be monitored by the health team. We ensure that all the needs of the pilgrims are met during this transit period,” she said.
She added that coordination with relevant parties continues to be carried out to ensure the smooth journey of the two elderly hajj candidates.
“If declared recovered by the health team, the two hajj candidates can continue their flight to the Holy Land,” Nurlela said.
