Ministry of Hajj: Prospective Hajj pilgrims from Central Lombok to depart starting 22 April
Central Lombok (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has stated that the departure of prospective Hajj pilgrims to the Holy Land of Mecca, Saudi Arabia, will proceed according to the established schedule, despite the war between Iran and Israel and its ally, the United States (US). “The departure schedule for prospective Hajj pilgrims from Central Lombok will begin on 22 April 2026,” said the Head of Kemenhaj in Central Lombok, Lalu Syamsul Hadi, in Central Lombok on Tuesday. He explained that the number of prospective Hajj pilgrims from Central Lombok performing the Hajj in 2026 totals 1,174 people, divided into four kloters (flight groups), namely two full kloters and two mixed kloters. “Central Lombok has four kloters, namely Kloter 2, 7, 12, and 15. The total number of prospective Hajj pilgrims departing in 2026 is 1,174 people,” he said. For Kloter 7, the pilgrims will enter the Hajj dormitory in Mataram on 29 April and depart for Mecca via Lombok Airport on 30 April 2026. Meanwhile, for the mixed Kloter 12, they will enter the Hajj dormitory in Mataram on 3 May and depart for Mecca on 4 May 2026. As for Kloter 15, they will be transported to the Hajj dormitory on 9 May and to the Holy Land of Mecca on 10 May 2026. “Hajj departures will remain on schedule, with no changes,” he said. “Today is the schedule for collecting luggage for prospective Hajj pilgrims,” he added. He also advised prospective pilgrims to maintain their health so they can perform the pillars of Hajj in accordance with Islamic law. “We hope that prospective pilgrims will continue to maintain their health from now on, so they can perform the Hajj worship properly in the Holy Land of Mecca,” he said.
