Ministry of Hajj: OKU Timur Pilgrims Return Safely
The Head of the OKU Timur Office of the Ministry of Hajj, South Sumatra, Muhammad Husni, stated that all Hajj pilgrims from the local area have returned to their home region in good health. “Alhamdulillah, the 437 Hajj pilgrims who were sent to the Holy Land have now returned to reunite with their families,” said the Head of Kemenhaj OKU Timur, Muhammad Husni, in Martapura, South Sumatra, on Wednesday.
He noted that the first group of pilgrims departed from King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah and arrived at the Palembang embarkation point early this morning at approximately 06:00 WIB. Subsequently, at 08:00 WIB, the pilgrims were received directly by the Deputy Governor of South Sumatra, Cik Ujang, at the Palembang Hajj Dormitory before continuing their journey to OKU Timur Regency.
To facilitate the arrival, the OKU Timur Regency Government prepared 11 buses to transport the pilgrims back to their respective homes. “At approximately 16:15, all pilgrims arrived in OKU Timur Regency in good health,” he emphasised.
An atmosphere of profound gratitude was evident as the pilgrims disembarked from the buses and reunited with families who had long awaited their return. Meanwhile, the Deputy Regent of OKU Timur, Adi Nugraha Purna Yudha, expressed his gratitude for the safe return of all pilgrims. He expressed hope that their experiences during the Hajj pilgrimage would serve as an inspiration to the community and encourage others to prepare for the fifth pillar of Islam.
