The Indonesian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) has called upon Indonesian Hajj pilgrims to preserve and nurture the values acquired during their pilgrimage so that they continue to live throughout their lives and are manifested in community life after returning to the homeland.

Spokesperson for the Indonesian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Ichsan Marsha, stated that the phase of returning from the Holy Land is not merely a journey from Saudi Arabia back to Indonesia. According to him, the return serves as a vital momentum for pilgrims to bring home the spirit of worship and spread benefits to their surrounding environments.

“Hajj is not just about the journey to the Holy Land, but also about how the values obtained during the pilgrimage continue to live after pilgrims return home. This return is the beginning of a new service within families and society,” Ichsan said in a press release in Jakarta on Friday (19/06/2026).

As of the 60th day of Hajj operations, or the 18th day of the repatriation period, a total of 121,301 Indonesian pilgrims and Hajj officials have returned to the homeland. This figure comprises 309 flight groups (kloter) that have arrived at various embarkation points in Indonesia, consisting of 120,065 pilgrims and 1,236 officials.

Meanwhile, from Saudi Arabia, 267 flight groups from the first wave have been departed via Jeddah Airport, totalling 104,753 pilgrims and officials. From Madinah Airport, 52 flight groups from the second wave have been flown to Indonesia, comprising 20,316 pilgrims and officials.

On the other hand, the movement of pilgrims from Makkah to Madinah as part of the second wave repatriation continues. To date, 208 flight groups with a total of 80,574 pilgrims and officials have been transported to Madinah.

Ichsan expressed his appreciation to all Hajj officials who continue to perform their duties until the end of the Hajj operations. According to him, the dedication of these officials is a crucial factor in ensuring that services to the pilgrims run smoothly.

“The dedication of the officials is an important part of the smooth delivery of Hajj services this year. They continue to work to ensure every pilgrim can return safely, comfortably, and in an orderly manner until they arrive back in the homeland,” he said.

He also reminded Indonesian Hajj pilgrims to safeguard their passports and travel documents, pay attention to their belongings, and comply with flight regulations, including the prohibition of carrying Zamzam water in checked luggage or cabin bags.
