Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Confirms Smooth Movement of Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims During Armuzna Phase
Ministry of Hajj and Umrah confirms smooth movement of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims during the Armuzna phase. All pilgrims have successfully completed their transition from Arafah to Muzdalifah and arrived at Mina for overnight stay and stoning of the Jamarat.
Ministry of Hajj and Umrah spokesperson Maria Assegaff stated that all movement stages proceeded according to the operational plan.
“Alhamdulillah, the entire sequence of pilgrim movement from Arafah to Muzdalifah and then to Mina has proceeded as per the operational plan. The final movement from Arafah to Muzdalifah occurred at 02:40 Saudi time, while the process from Muzdalifah to Mina concluded at 07:00 Saudi time, with the Muzdalifah area declared clear,” Maria said in Jakarta on Wednesday (27 May).
According to Maria, the smooth execution of Armuzna was due to cooperation between Indonesian Hajj officials, Saudi authorities, and the discipline of the pilgrims.
“We extend our highest appreciation to all Indonesian Hajj pilgrims for their discipline, orderliness, and adherence to all instructions from officials. Pilgrim discipline is a key factor in the smooth movement during this year’s Armuzna phase,” she said.
Current services are focused on supporting pilgrims in Mina, particularly for the stoning of Jamarat al-Aqabah and the days of Tashriq. A total of 751 Hajj officers have been deployed across various service points, including pilgrim tents, routes to Jamarat, and the Masjidil Haram area.
These officers are divided into 10 ad-hoc units, each responsible for 11 to 13 pilgrim bases. “This enhanced service ensures pilgrims receive prompt, coordinated assistance, protection, and support during the Mina phase,” she added.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah also reminded pilgrims to adhere to the stoning schedule to ensure safety and comfort. Special advice was given to avoid stoning during midday when temperatures in Mina reach 41 degrees Celsius.
“We urge Indonesian pilgrims not to perform the stoning between 10 am and 2 pm Saudi time to avoid heat and congestion. Pilgrims are advised to remain inside their tents and follow official instructions,” Maria said.
In addition to following the scheduled times, pilgrims are requested to use the designated second or upper routes to Jamarat to help reduce movement congestion.
Maria also stressed the importance of maintaining physical health in Mina. Pilgrims are advised to drink plenty of water, eat regularly, wear head coverings when outside tents, and limit non-essential physical activity.
“For elderly, disabled, and high-risk pilgrims, we request cluster families, group leaders, and fellow pilgrims to provide continuous attention and support,” she said.
On the occasion, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah also extended Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah greetings to all Muslims.
“We pray for all Indonesian Hajj pilgrims to be granted health, strength, and ease in completing their Hajj rituals and returning home with the status of mabrur and mabruroh,” Maria concluded.
She added that all Indonesian Hajj pilgrims had moved towards Arafah since Monday (25 May) at 07:00 Saudi time.
