Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Blocks Access for PT JGroup and Annisa Ahmada Travelindo
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has blocked access to the Integrated Computerised Management System for Umrah and Special Hajj (SISKOPATUH) for two Umrah Travel Organisers (PPIU), namely PT JGroup Amanah Wisata and PT Annisa Ahmada Travelindo.
“This blocking of SISKOPATUH access is an emergency administrative security measure to halt transactions and the registration of new pilgrims,” stated Atty Novyanty, Director of Licensing and Accreditation for Special Hajj and Umrah at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in Jakarta on Thursday.
The blocking of PT JGroup Amanah Wisata is based on public complaints regarding the delay and cancellation of departures for 16 umrah pilgrims from Jember. The travel agency failed to depart pilgrims according to the schedule for late August 2026 despite full payment being made, and there are indications that they unilaterally transferred the handling of pilgrims to another entity while requesting additional fees.
Furthermore, PT JGroup failed to meet its commitments regarding resolution or refunds following a clarification process involving 19 umrah participants.
Similarly, PT Annisa failed to depart 282 individuals within a 2x24 hour period. The travel agency also breached the Minutes of Agreement dated 13 September 2026, which required them to depart the 282 people in stages on 15, 17, and 18 September 2026.
“We will not tolerate any form of pilgrim neglect, whether it involves failure to depart from Indonesia or delays in returning from Saudi Arabia,” said Atty.
According to her, both organisers are required to submit written accountability and immediately settle the rights of the affected pilgrims.
“We demand that PT Annisa Ahmada Travelindo and PT JGroup Amanah Wisata immediately fulfil all their obligations. If evaluations show no resolution and violations continue to recur, we will not hesitate to process heavier sanctions, up to the freezing or revocation of the PPIU operational licence,” added Atty.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah will oversee the compensation process carried out by the travel agencies to the pilgrims. The Ministry also advises the public to be more careful when choosing umrah travel agencies by ensuring their legality and checking pilgrim registration status through SISKOPATUH.
