Jakarta — The Ministry of Finance has recorded customs and excise revenue totalling Rp44.9 trillion through February 2026.

This achievement represents 13.4 per cent of the 2026 budget target, but represents a contraction of 14.7 per cent compared to the same period in the previous year.

“Customs and excise revenue has reached Rp44.9 trillion. Compared to February 2025 last year, the collection was Rp52.6 trillion. So this is approximately Rp7 trillion below the (realisation) from last year,” said Deputy Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara during a press conference on the “APBN KITA” budget edition in March 2026 in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Suahasil detailed that excise revenue reached Rp34.4 trillion, or 14.1 per cent of the 2026 Budget target. This figure contracted 13.3 per cent year-on-year, influenced by a decline in production in late 2025.

“So we will see, hopefully over the next two months this will improve for excise revenue,” he said.

Meanwhile, export duty revenue was recorded at Rp2.8 trillion, or 6.5 per cent of the budget target, down 48.4 per cent year-on-year due to a decline in raw palm oil (CPO) prices.

Import duty revenue reached Rp7.8 trillion, or 15.6 per cent of the budget target, and grew 1.7 per cent year-on-year, driven by increased import activity.

From the perspective of tax revenue, the government recorded net tax revenue of Rp245.1 trillion, growing 30.4 per cent year-on-year through the end of February 2026. The realisation represents 10.4 per cent of the budget target for this year.
