Ministry of Finance Opens 2026 Internship Programme: Here Are the Requirements, Schedule, and How to Register
The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) has reopened its Regular Internship Programme for the second period of 2026. This programme provides an opportunity for active university students from across Indonesia to gain direct work experience within the Ministry of Finance.
Registration is open from 1 to 16 August 2026, with the internship itself scheduled to run for three months, from 7 September to 7 December 2026. The programme will be conducted on-site (work from office) at various Ministry of Finance units located across different regions.
The Regular Internship Programme aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical work in state financial management. In addition to gaining work experience, participants who meet the requirements are eligible to receive a daily allowance, subject to regulations and budget availability within each unit.
The programme is intended for active undergraduate (S-1) or Diploma IV (D-IV) students from Indonesian universities who have been assigned or recommended by their respective institutions to participate. Participants are also prohibited from concurrently undertaking an internship at another institution during the programme.
Registration requirements include:
Being an active S-1 or D-IV student.
Obtaining an assignment or recommendation from their university.
Not currently participating in an internship at another institution.
Willingness to participate in the internship on-site according to the determined schedule.
Ability to work in a team and possess good communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Having integrity, discipline, and the ability to maintain confidentiality of information during the internship.
Willingness to complete the three-month internship programme as stipulated.
The selection process consists of two stages: an administrative selection and a substantive selection based on the needs of the respective work units. Successful candidates will be placed in Ministry of Finance units according to the formation they selected and the results of the selection process.

Registration is conducted online through the official Ministry of Finance Internship Programme portal. Prospective participants are required to create an account, complete their profile, upload the required documents, and select an available work unit or formation. The Ministry of Finance has reminded applicants that the entire selection process is free of charge and urges them to only access information through official channels to avoid scams misusing the programme’s name.
