Ministry of Finance: Auctions as an adaptive instrument supporting the national economy
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Syukriah HG, Director of Auctions at the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) under the Ministry of Finance, stated that auctions serve as an adaptive, transparent, and relevant economic instrument supporting the national economy. ‘With increasingly collaborative publicity and marketing strategies, we are confident that auctions will grow in popularity and become a valuable transaction alternative for the general public,’ Syukriah said in Jakarta on Monday. She added that the DJKN is continuously improving auction services through digitalisation of applications and systems to make the process faster, more transparent, and accessible to the public. Syukriah noted that the success of auction implementation hinges on preparation quality and inter-stakeholder coordination. This is a critical moment to ensure all aspects are ready for BTN’s mass auction programme to meet expectations. ‘We believe strong stakeholder synergy will be a crucial foundation for the success of the BTN Big Auction 2026 while expanding public participation in the national auction ecosystem,’ she said. She expressed hope that service transformation would enhance auction success, broaden public participation, and boost public confidence in auctions as a safe and credible transaction mechanism. ‘Through this initiative, investors and the public have the opportunity to acquire property assets with highly attractive investment potential,’ she said. For context, BTN is set to flood the national property market with 10,000 second-hand homes through the BTN Big Auction 2026 programme. BTN is offering tens of thousands of properties at competitive prices up to 40% below market rates. The bank also provides second-home financing options starting at 5% interest to expand public access to housing and property investment while supporting the 3 Million Houses Programme.
