Ministry of Finance and Garut Regency Government Optimise Regional Asset Utilisation
Garut (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Finance, together with the State Asset Management Agency (LMAN) and the Garut Regency Government in West Java, has entered into a partnership to optimise the management of regional government assets in order to boost Garut’s own-source revenue (PAD).
“We at the Ministry of Finance are encouraging local governments to optimise their regional assets,” said Encep Sudarwan, Director of State Wealth Policy Formulation at the Ministry’s Directorate General of State Assets, during a working visit to the Pamengkang Room in Garut on Friday.
He said the Ministry continues to encourage regional governments to optimise Regional Government Assets (BMD) in Garut Regency so that they can increase revenue for the region.
He explained that the optimisation of regional assets is intended to support public services, as well as to provide alternative funding options for non-tax state revenue (PNBP).
He appreciated the Garut Regency Government’s efforts to optimise BMD in order to develop the region and improve community welfare.
“We greatly appreciate the regent’s enthusiasm in optimising assets in the region for the better welfare of the community,” said Encep.
Kristijanindyati Puspitasari, President Director of LMAN, said her institution is committed to providing consulting services in the form of property analysis to identify the most optimal use of land or buildings, feasibility studies, and full assistance in attracting partners or investment.
