The ability to convey information quickly, accurately, and engagingly has become an essential requirement for public relations professionals. In the current digital era, the role of PR is no longer limited to disseminating information but also demands the capability to produce content that is relevant, creative, and easily understood by the public. To address these challenges, the Ministry of Environment and the Environmental Control Agency (KLH/BPLH), together with detikcom, has once again introduced a communication capacity-building programme through The Classroom KLH Batch 2. Taking place from 30 June to 2 July 2026 at Wisma PGN Diklat Megamendung in Bogor, West Java, the activity will be attended by the KLH public relations team. Previously, KLH and detikcom successfully held The Classroom KLH Batch 1, which ran from 17 to 19 June 2026. Through this initiative, KLH aims to strengthen the PR team’s ability to convey information to the public via various digital communication platforms. During the programme, participants will undergo communication and digital content production training featuring several practitioners from detikcom as speakers. In the first session, detikFinance Managing Editor Angga Aliya ZRF will deliver material titled NewsCraft+, focusing on basic reporting techniques and news writing. In this session, participants receive training on rapid research, effective interview techniques, writing straight news and light features, as well as an understanding of journalistic ethics when reporting in the field. Next, Head of Brandstudio detikcom Okta Marfianto will present a CreativeHub+ session discussing the visual content production process for digital needs. The material covers shooting techniques using cameras and mobile phones, understanding framing, compiling shot lists, and the process of creating engaging and effective audio-visual content. Meanwhile, in the BrandLab+ session, Head of Brand Communication detikcom Karel Anderson will share experiences regarding social media management and digital content distribution strategies. Participants will learn about daily content management and documentation, from storyboarding and video pacing to the use of subtitles, simple graphic creation, and adapting content formats for various social media platforms. In addition to inspirational discussions, the activity is complemented by hands-on practice sessions and interactive games. Through this approach, participants are expected to grasp the material more applicatively while enhancing their public communication skills in the digital era.
