Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Ensures Sufficient Fuel and LPG Stocks Along Lebaran Return Routes in Lampung
South Lampung (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has assured the availability of fuel oil (BBM) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is secure during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah return flow period, particularly in Lampung province.
BPH Migas Committee Member Erika Retnowati conveyed this after conducting a direct inspection at Bakauheni Port and several strategic points in Lampung on Saturday.
“We from the National ESDM Post Command have dialogued with ASDP officials to monitor BBM usage for ferries. So far, refuelling has proceeded smoothly without issues, although in the future, the bunker capacity in Merak needs to be continuously increased,” she stated.
“Based on observations, stocks of all types of BBM products are declared more than sufficient despite a significant rise in consumption,” she added.
Data records show a 50 percent increase in Pertamax consumption and 30 percent in Pertalite during the outbound and return journeys. In contrast, diesel consumption tends to decrease due to operational restrictions on goods transport vehicles during the holidays.
Regarding LPG availability, Erika stated that supplies at elpiji bulk filling and transportation stations (SPPBE) are in normal condition.
She explained that, unlike BBM, LPG consumption in Lampung shows no significant increase, likely due to the high outbound migration flow.
In addition to ensuring energy supplies, the ESDM Ministry and Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagsel delegation also reviewed the “Serambi Pertamina” facilities at the port.
These free facilities are provided for fatigued travellers, including health check services, massage chairs, children’s play areas, and even a barbershop.
