Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Announces Discovery of 5 Trillion Cubic Feet of Gas in Ganal Block

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia is preparing to deliver a press statement regarding the discovery of giant gas reserves at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in Jakarta on Monday (20/4/2026). The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources stated that the discovery comes from the exploration of the Geliga-1 well in the Ganal Block, offshore East Kalimantan, with a gas resource potential of around 5 trillion cubic feet and 300 million barrels of condensate, operated by the Italian energy company ENI.
