Ministry of Defence Ensures Strict Selection Process for Civil Servants Joining Reserve Component
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Head of the Defence Information Bureau (Karo Infohan) of the Ministry of Defence’s Secretariat General, Brigadier General TNI Rico Ricardo Sirait, stated that civil servants (ASN) who will participate in the reserve component (Komcad) training must undergo a strict selection process.
“Prospective participants who have registered must still go through a selection process. The selection stages include administrative selection, health checks, and physical fitness tests,” Rico told ANTARA in Jakarta on Thursday.
Rico explained that the health checks are necessary to ensure the physical endurance of the ASN who will later participate in basic military training.
In addition to health and physical tests, they will also conduct psychological and ideological mental assessments.
“Psychological tests, as well as ideological mental assessments, will be carried out to ensure the participants are ready to undergo Komcad training,” Rico explained.
Rico added that the Ministry of Defence is providing a quota of 4,000 for all ministries and agencies that wish to send ASN to participate in the Komcad training.
The first wave of training is planned for 2,000 ASN and will be held in five locations, namely Pusdikkes, Skadik 301, Pusbahasa AU, Kodam Jaya, and Pasmar 1.
The second wave will be attended by the same number of ASN and will be held in mid-2026.
As of today, Thursday (February 26), 987 ASN have registered to participate in the training as Komcad. He said that this number is likely to increase before the first wave of training in April.
He hopes that with this training, all ASN will have the same spirit and sense of nationalism to serve the community and the country.
