Ministry of Creative Economy Strengthens Transaction Opportunities for MSMEs Ahead of Eid
Jakarta - The Ministry of Creative Economy is providing support to strengthen transaction opportunities for MSME actors ahead of Eid al-Fitr by opening broader promotional access and increasing the visibility of local brands.
“The Ministry of Creative Economy is focusing its interventions on business acceleration aspects, aimed at preparing creative economy actors and brands to enhance product added value, strengthen competitiveness, and expand market access,” said Deputy for Cultural Creativity and Design, Ministry of Creative Economy, Yuke Sri Rahayu, in an official statement received and confirmed in Jakarta on Thursday.
Yuke stated that the potential of the creative economy in the fashion and culinary sectors during the Ramadan period up to Eid is very significant, driven by increased social, cultural, and consumption activities among the public.
In the fashion sector, trends in modest or modern modest wear are increasingly popular as symbols of identity, togetherness, and socialising during Eid.
Meanwhile, the culinary sector is experiencing a surge through sharing culture such as Eid hampers, as well as demand for practical products like frozen foods for suhoor and innovative iftar snacks with local flavours and premium packaging.
As a form of support in expanding market access and increasing transaction opportunities, the Ministry of Creative Economy is involving culinary and fashion brands in various promotional and marketing activities, including the 2026 Nusantara Snack Trail Festival organised in collaboration with the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, the Imlek Festival, Modest Luxe by Scarf Media, and others.
“Through these activities, creative economy business actors are given space to introduce products, expand market networks, and increase sales amid rising consumer activities during Ramadan,” said Yuke.
During the Ramadan period, the Ministry of Creative Economy is also enhancing business potential for creative economy actors, with support for participation of creative products through various exhibition activities, including the Garis Poetih event by Ivan Gunawan.
In addition, the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency is supporting the growth of the local perfume and aroma industry through participation in the Jagat Aroma exhibition, a Ramadan-themed fashion and lifestyle exhibition, Alif Raya Market.
Yuke said the Ministry of Creative Economy will focus its interventions on accelerating MSMEs by providing various facilitations through strengthening product quality, packaging and branding, increasing business capacity, as well as promotional support and business networking.
Several strategic programmes designed to encourage local products to be more competitive and appealing to the market include the Acceleration of Indonesian Creative Exports (ASIK), a programme that accelerates national fashion, craft, and culinary enthusiasts to go global.
There is also the Packaging Design Analysis (Bedakan), where creative economy enthusiasts will be accompanied with the aim of educating and improving the economy and income through creating visual identities and redesigning packaging.
As well as the Cook with Master Chef (MASAMO) programme, which aims to help creative business actors improve their businesses in presenting new products.
The Ministry of Creative Economy is also demonstrating its support through public exposure of local brand activities on social media @ekraf.ri.
