Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Coordinating Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PM) has launched the Perintis Berdaya Connect programme, marking a new chapter in the government’s efforts to strengthen the people’s economy through a connectivity and ecosystem-based empowerment approach.

“This programme serves as a bridge so that the community does not forever depend on social assistance, but is able to advance to become economic drivers,” said Deputy for Coordinating Empowerment of the People’s Economy and Protection of Migrant Workers at Kemenko PM, Leontinus Alpha Edison, in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He stated this during the launch of the Perintis Berdaya Connect programme in Bandung, West Java.

According to him, the programme emerges as an integrated ecosystem that brings together MSME entrepreneurs, the creative economy, and cooperatives with strategic partners to achieve economic independence through active public participation.

On that occasion, Leontinus also opened a dialogue session with MSME entrepreneurs to directly hear their aspirations.

“President Prabowo has given very clear directives. MSMEs must be strengthened as the foundation of national economic resilience. Through this dialogue, we want to ensure that the policies we take are truly relevant to the needs of all of you,” said Leontinus Alpha Edison.

In addition to the dialogue, there was a business matching session that facilitated MSME and creative economy entrepreneurs to consult with experts, implemented with the principles of people, process, and technology.

Through this activity, business actors can handle business legality requirements, from Indonesian National Standards (SNI), halal certification, to intellectual property rights (HAKI) registration.

“The aspirations that emerged in the earlier dialogue show that business actors need quick and real solutions. Therefore, we ensure there is a concrete output today that is directly realised through the implementation of this business matching,” he said.

He stated that the current focus is on accelerating legality, SNI, halal certificates, and HAKI to provide comprehensive protection for MSME entrepreneurs.

Kemenko PM stated that the Perintis Berdaya Connect model will be replicated in various regions in Indonesia as an effort to drive an inclusive and globally competitive people’s economy.
