Ministry of Cooperatives Assures Irregularities in Kopdes Manager CAT Not the Work of Insiders
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop) has assured that irregularities in the Computer Assisted Test (CAT) process for prospective Village/Urban Village Cooperative (Kopdes) Merah Putih managers were not the work of “insiders”.
Deputy Minister of Cooperatives Farida Farichah stated that Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan has confirmed there was no insider interference in the selection for Kopdes Merah Putih manager candidates.
“No, there isn’t any. What Mr Zulhas conveyed earlier guarantees no placements,” Farida said when met at the Kemenkop office in Jakarta on Friday (8/5/2026).
Not only the ministry’s official accounts, but also the personal account of Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono received reports from the public.
In response to these reports, Kemenkop conducted clarifications and coordinated with the National Civil Service Agency (BKN).
In the selection process for Kopdes Merah Putih manager candidates, Kemenkop is only part of the National Selection Committee (Panselnas).
“We, of course, as part of Panselnas, coordinated earlier on the reports from social media with BKN and also Panselnas under the Ministry of PAN-RB,” Farida explained.
Regarding the oddities in the CAT test for Kopdes manager candidates that went viral on social media, Farida said they have been explained by BKN.
“The result is the clarification and explanation from BKN,” Farida stated.
Quoting Tribunnews.com, one participant named Arif Al Hakim revealed the oddity through a TikTok social media video.
In the uploaded video, Arif mentioned that the answers selected in the Kopdes manager candidate CAT test suddenly changed.
“The website is really strange. For example, we’ve answered what we think is correct, the answer is saved, but suddenly when we go back, the cursor changes the answer,” Arif said.
The government is known to be recruiting 30,000 Kopdes Merah Putih managers.
Successful participants will become employees of a state-owned enterprise under PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara.
They are said to hold the status of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) for the first two years.
