Ministry of Communication and Digital seeks to optimise budget utilisation to achieve work targets
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) is striving to optimise the utilisation of its 2027 budget allocation to achieve the ministry’s work targets.
During a working meeting with Commission I of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) broadcast online on Wednesday, Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid stated that Kemkomdiguit’s 2027 budget ceiling amounts to Rp11.52 trillion. She also announced that the ministry is targeting the realisation of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) worth Rp27.89 trillion in 2027.
“Hopefully, with the support of the members of Commission I, with these two figures, we can maximise the entire budget ceiling and also increase work targets so that we are able to achieve the PNBP targets,” she said.
She went on to explain the breakdown of the 2027 budget ceiling for various working units within Kemkomdigi. The Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure has been allocated approximately Rp1 trillion, the Directorate General of the Digital Ecosystem Rp481 billion, and the Directorate General of Digital Government Rp2.7 trillion.
The Telecommunications and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI) under Kemkomdigi has received a budget ceiling of Rp6.4 trillion, the Directorate General of Public Communication and Media Rp97.1 billion, and the Directorate General of Digital Space Supervision Rp103.7 billion. Meanwhile, the budget ceiling for the Human Resources Development Agency of Kemkomdigi is Rp211.3 billion, the Secretariat General and quasi-institutions Rp330.1 billion, and the Inspectorate General Rp40 billion.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General of Kemkomdigi, Ismail, explained the budget ceiling adjustments proposed by the ministry. According to him, the ministry has proposed budget shifts from BAKTI amounting to Rp534.32 billion, from the Directorate General of Digital Government Technology by Rp350 billion, and from the Directorate General of Digital Space Supervision by Rp29.6 billion.
Ismail stated that the basic requirements of all Echelon I working units within Kemkomdigi could be met through these budget allocation shifts. “Therefore, with the minimum requirement of this Rp11.5 trillion budget ceiling, God willing, all operations, offices, and so on, will be secure and run smoothly,” he said.
