Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs promotes unity in safeguarding digital space during Eid 2026

The message was delivered by Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid, along with Deputy Ministers Angga Raka Prabowo and Nezar Patria, through a video uploaded to the Ministry’s official social media on Friday. “Let us keep our digital space safe and serene, just as our hearts are renewed pure on this day of victory,” said Minister Meutya Hafid. Meutya urged Indonesians to continue practising care and togetherness after completing a month of fasting during Ramadan. “On this blessed day, we are reminded amid the atmosphere of togetherness that many of our fellow citizens are still working to ensure that social bonds remain intact. Some ensure safe journeys, networks stay connected, and information is delivered properly,” said Angga Raka. Reinforcing the message of togetherness, Deputy Minister Nezar Patria shared the meaning of a safe digital space. On this Eid celebration, Indonesia’s digital space needs to be protected to continue producing productive works free from exposure to negative content. “This is the spirit we want to maintain: presenting a digital space that connects, nurtures, and protects. A digital space that brings benefits, free from disinformation, hatred, and harmful content,” said Nezar. The three representatives of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs concluded their message by extending apologies for Eid al-Fitr 1447H.
