Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) has urged the public to report any form of violations or irregularities during the implementation of the New Student Admission System (SPMB). Director General of Early Childhood Education, Basic Education, and Non-Formal and Informal Education at Kemendikdasmen, Gogot Suharwoto, stated that the ministry has an Integrated Service Unit (ULT) that receives various inputs and complaints regarding violations related to the implementation of policies made by Kemendikdasmen, including in SPMB. “So if the public sees or hears of any cheating, just report it. We have an Integrated Service Unit that will forward it to the Inspectorate General, and then the Inspectorate General will follow up in collaboration with the regional inspectorate,” said Gogot during the “Ngopi Bareng Dirjen PAUD Dikdas PNFI” event in Central Jakarta on Thursday. He further emphasised that Kemendikdasmen is ready to deploy a team to investigate if there are reports and complaints from the public regarding violations during the SPMB implementation process. He added that violations such as the buying and selling of seats in SPMB are actions that can be legally pursued. “So there is no such thing as selling seats, there isn’t. If there is evidence, I will deploy a team. We will report it to the authorities, and it can be acted upon,” Gogot stressed. On the same occasion, he also explained several steps to anticipate cheating during the SPMB implementation process. Therefore, he continued, schools cannot add or reduce the new student capacity quota after the regional government signs the first technical guidelines. “The determination of the number of student slots opened in each school is set through the regional government’s technical guidelines. Once the regional head signs, we receive the report, and we immediately lock the school dapodik website. So there is no such thing as selling seats, there isn’t,” he said. For information, if the public finds practices of cheating or levies during the SPMB implementation process, they can immediately contact the Inspectorate General Complaint Post of Kemendikdasmen: https://posko-pengaduan.itjen.kemendikdasmen.go.id/, Integrated Service Unit of Kemendikdasmen: https://ult.kemendikdasmen.go.id/, WhatsApp (+62 812-1804-0427), Call Centre (177), email address (pengaduan@kemendikdasmen.go.id).
