Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) has reported findings of 95 violations during the implementation of the Academic Ability Test (TKA) for primary and secondary education levels as of 29 April.

The Head of the Basic and Secondary Education Policy Agency (BKPDM) of Kemendikdasmen, Toni Toharudin, stated that nearly all of these violations were committed by supervisors, proctors, or monitors at educational units.

“We openly convey the realities on the ground that there are indeed still challenges and violations. The most common we found were educational units, supervisors, or proctors uploading content such as photos during the TKA implementation,” said Toni during the Media Meeting on the Implementation of the Academic Ability Test for SD/MI/equivalent and SMP/MTs/equivalent levels at the Alam Sutera Complex in Tangerang Regency, Banten Province, on Thursday afternoon.

Furthermore, he mentioned that the number of violations found during the TKA implementation for secondary education was 35 cases.

He detailed that this number consisted of violations such as conducting live streams on TikTok in 7 cases, smoking in 1 case, uploading videos on Facebook in 3 cases, uploading photos on Facebook in 8 cases, conducting live streams on YouTube in 7 cases, uploading videos on Instagram in 1 case, uploading videos on YouTube in 7 cases, and uploading videos on TikTok in 1 case.

The number of violation findings, he said, consisted of uploading TKA photos on Facebook in 22 cases, uploading photos on Threads in 19 cases, conducting live streams on TikTok in 2 cases, conducting live streams on YouTube in 9 cases, uploading videos on TikTok in 3 cases, and uploading videos on YouTube in 5 cases.

“The motive is just to seek visibility; it does not affect the exam implementation,” Toni emphasised.

Regarding sanctions for the perpetrators of these violations, his side has issued a circular to local governments, thus handing over full authority for imposing sanctions to the relevant local governments.

Meanwhile, regarding violations committed by students as TKA participants, he said his side has only received one report, which is currently under investigation by the Inspectorate General team.

“One case of cheating by a student at the secondary level in East Kalimantan. The results are still being investigated. We do not yet know what the violation is, so whether it is minor, serious, or moderate has not been determined; we are still awaiting the investigation results from the Inspectorate General,” said Toni.
