Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) received reports of 13 violations during the implementation of the Academic Ability Test (TKA) for the SMP level, which has taken place over two days.

Head of the Education Assessment Centre at Kemendikdasmen, Rahmawati, explained that 12 violations were committed by supervisors and one by a test participant.

“The violations involved 12 supervisors and one student. We found instances of live-streaming on social media. However, unlike the high school level, during the live stream, they did not point at the computer screen but merely showed themselves supervising and others without displaying the questions or taking photos,” said Rahmawati during the Media Meeting on the Implementation of the Academic Ability Test for SMP/MTs/equivalent levels in Bekasi City, West Java Province, on Tuesday.

Furthermore, Head of the Basic and Secondary Education Policy Agency at Kemendikdasmen, Toni Toharudin, added that the forms of violations by supervisors included smoking and recording activities while supervising the TKA implementation without showing the TKA questions.

Regarding the imposition of sanctions for these violations, whether by supervisors or participants, they will process all of them gradually (leveling) involving the Inspectorate General (Irjen).

“There is a leveling process; we will see what the violations are like. When there are violations that will be decided, it involves the Inspectorate General to analyse, examine, and decide on the category of violation and what sanctions will be given. Yes, according to our SOP, depending on what the problem is, how severe it is,” said Toni.

Meanwhile, regarding the duration of processing the violations until sanctions are imposed, he said the entire process depends on the level of violation committed.

“But if the violation is minor, it can be quick. There is no set number of days to complete it. Because the TKA period itself is long, from 6 to 30 April,” Toni stated.
