In the official inauguration of 29 schools resulting from the revitalisation programme centred at SMA Negeri 1 Meureudeu, the Aceh Provincial Education Office and Pidie Jaya District Government expressed appreciation for the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education’s (Kemendikdasmen) implementation of the Educational Unit Revitalisation programme during 2025.

In his remarks, Aceh Provincial Head of Education (Kadisdik) Murthalamuddin acknowledged the commitment of Minister of Basic and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti, who has visited Aceh multiple times to monitor progress in post-disaster education service recovery. “Education is the sector advancing most rapidly post-disaster in Aceh. This is inseparable from Minister Mu’ti’s hard work and his team through Kemendikdasmen’s priority programmes,” Murthalamuddin stated.

Murthalamuddin added that the success of the revitalisation programme serves as an inspiration for all education stakeholders to continue rising post-disaster flood in Aceh. “I hope the spirit to continue rising and restoring education services in Pidie Jaya District can inspire other regions to likewise demonstrate commitment and continue moving forward, looking toward a more advanced education future for Aceh residents,” he said.

On the same occasion, Pidie Jaya Regent Sibral Malasyi stated that implementation of the revitalisation programme in Pidie Jaya District has proceeded in stages and is progressing very well. He explained that in 2025, the revitalisation programme in Pidie Jaya District has reached three kindergartens, 16 primary schools, four junior secondary schools, four senior secondary schools, and two vocational schools.

“The revitalisation programme is part of collective efforts to ensure the learning process proceeds safely and comfortably amid the post-disaster situation. We hope this programme can improve the quality of education in our region to become more adequate and provide far better learning opportunities for all members of our district schools,” Sibral said.

Through Minister Mu’ti’s visit, he also expressed hope that synergy between central and local governments would continue to be maintained closely and well. “Thank you to the Kemendikdasmen team who have paid attention and provided full support to our region. May this inauguration and Minister Mu’ti’s visit bring new spirit for the advancement of Pidie Jaya education far better,” he elaborated.

Regarding the two statements above, Minister of Basic and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti expressed gratitude to the ranks of Pidie Jaya District Government and Aceh Provincial Education Office for their excellent cooperation to jointly rise from disaster. This cooperation, according to him, is proven by the construction of numerous education facilities and infrastructure as pillars in collective efforts to enlighten the nation’s life.

“We must rise and stand firm facing various problems we face. Calamity is a way Allah elevates our dignity and honour; therefore, it is important for all of us to instil thinking patterns that with difficulty comes ease. Equipped with this guidance, let us all rise and have confidence that through continued synergy all problems can be resolved optimally,” Education Minister Abdul Mu’ti stated in Pidie Jaya District on Monday, 9 March.

To all event participants, Minister Mu’ti emphasised that in 2026, Kemendikdasmen is committed to continuing the revitalisation programme in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto’s direction. He noted that Kemendikdasmen will prioritise the revitalisation programme to three regions or three categories. “First, we will prioritise schools affected by disasters; second, schools with severely damaged building conditions; and schools located in Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost (3T) regions,” he stated.

The 29 educational units resulting from 2025 revitalisation in Pidie Jaya District include TK Negeri TGK Chik Diuteun Bayu, TK TGK Dibatee Puteh, TK Negeri Malahayati, SD Negeri 2 Panteraja, SDN 18 Bandar Baru, SDN 13 Trienggadeng, SDN 21 Bandar Baru, SDN 24 Bandar Baru, SDN 2 Jangka Buya, SDN 2 Meurah Dua, SDN 5 Bandar Dua, SDN 7 Meureudu, SDN 10 Trienggadeng, SDN 1 Ulim, SDN 2 Meureudu, SDN 14 Bandar Baru, SDN 7 Bandar Dua, SDN 9 Trienggadeng, SDN 8 Meureudu, SMPN 2 Bandar Dua, SMPIT Darul Muttaqien, SMPS Ummul Ayman II, SMP Ulumul Qur’an Pidie Jaya, SMAN 2 Bandar Baru, SMAN 1 Bandar Baru, SMAN 1 Meureudu, SMAN 1 Trienggadeng, SMK Budi, and SMK Ummul Ayman 2.
